Welcome to Chislet, our beautiful village in East Kent, halfway between Canterbury and Margate. Centred on the Norman Church of St Mary the Virgin we boast the delightful Chislet Church of England Primary School and the warm and welcoming Gate Inn. The Parish Council hopes that this website helps with useful information for residents and visitors alike. If you have any questions or suggestions, get in touch!

With all the new regulations coming into force, many people in the parish are already offering help to their neighbours and friends, but not everyone has someone to rely on, so if you are in need of, or feel able to offer, any assistance – be it collecting shopping, helping with tasks, or even just chatting on the phone, please would you give your details below, and we will try to match people up

Upcoming meetings to be held in Hersden Community Centre

Until May 2021, Chislet Parish Council’s meetings will be held at 7.30pm at
Hersden Community Centre, The Avenue, Hersden, CT3 4HL
NOT the usual Chislet Centre. Please check the website or contact the Parish Clerk on 07547 194 035.

Village Life

We have reorganised our website slightly as content builds. Our “Village Life” page should now be used to access parish council minutes and agendas. You can also access a new page for local planning applications. Notices should be posted in Village Life, including archives or relevant information we have posted on our homepage.

We’re not yet Silicon Valley. If you notice any problems or have any suggestions, please contact us using the Website Stuff contact form. For council matters, we have suspended the contact form while we deal with introducing a spam filter. Meanwhile, we can be contacted as always at chisletparishcouncil@outlook.com.

Parish council meetings are typically held on the third Thursday of every month at 7.30pm in the Chislet Centre (Chislet Parish Church). All members of the public are welcome to attend. Meeting times can vary so it is best to check beforehand about exact date / time / location. Please feel free to email us if you need more information
